THE KOREAN JOURNAL OF PARASITOLOGY

(Enacted in June 1963, most recently revised in December 2009)   

The Korean Journal of Parasitology (KJP) is the official journal of The Korean Society for Parasitology (KSP). The journal is devoted to the dissemination of new knowledge concerning parasites infecting humans and animals, vectors, host-parasite relationships, zoonosis, and tropical medicine. Only manuscripts written in English are accepted. KJP follows the Open Access Journal policy. All contents of KJP are freely available in the web. Digital files can be read, downloaded, and printed freely. For policies unstated in this instruction, "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication" (http://www.icmje.org) can be applied.  

   
   
 

Submission of papers   Online Submission

Increase of page charge of the Korean Journal of Parasitology from October 22, 2009

According to the decision by Board Meeting of the Korean Society for Parasitology held in October 21, 2009 in Seoul, the page charge for the Korean Journal of Parasitology shall be increased from October 22, 2009. The publication fee is US$200 up to 6 pages, and US$50 per additional page regardless of a member or a non-member. The reprint cost is free up to 30 copies, and US$30 per additional 30 copies. For color printings, US$80.00 per color page is charged to authors regardless of the membership. The publication cost is subjected to change according to the society's financial situation.

It will be waived if the paper was accepted till October 21, 2009 or if it is going to be published in the December issue, 2009. The manuscripts under review or revision that are going to be published from the first issue, 2010 shall be included in the new policy of the page charge.

The Korean Society for Parasitology cordially asks members and submitters to understand new policy. It is inevitable since the number of papers published increased and the cost for e-journal publication including DOI XML and PMC XML also increased.
